O-1A: EXTRAORDINARY ABILITY

$8,000 flat service fee · U.S. government filing fees separate

The O-1A is tied to you, not one contract. The discipline's top players use it to compete, coach, stream, appear and do media across engagements. Straight talk: the O-1A demands more than the P-1A — sustained acclaim proven across multiple evidence categories — and in a game this young it fits the championship tier of the player pool, not every starter. When it fits, it's the most flexible tool in esports.

THE PROCESS, START TO FINISH

  1. Criteria mapping — O-1A is won on evidence categories — titles, press, placings, high remuneration, critical role. We map your career against them before drafting.
  2. Honest gap report — if you're two criteria short, you get that in writing — plus the plan to build them, often starting from a P-1A.
  3. Petitioner + itinerary — your team or our agency structure petitions and pleads a multi-engagement itinerary: competition plus exhibitions, coaching, content and media.
  4. Expert letters — opinion letters from credible names in the discipline — drafted and placed by us.
  5. Filing (Form I-129) — prepared and filed; premium processing available.
  6. Consular step — visa stamping with full interview prep.
  7. Build the long game — a strong O-1A file is the foundation for a green-card conversation later, as the record matures.

AT A GLANCE

QuestionAnswer
Who is it for?Players with sustained, documented acclaim — championship placings, year-over-year results at the game's top level, international recognition.
O-1A vs P-1A?P-1A = compete. O-1A = compete plus coach, create, commentate, appear — the whole career.
How long?Up to 3 years initially, extendable.
Do salary, winnings and sponsorships count as 'high remuneration'?They're argued, not assumed — we document salary against the player market and build that criterion carefully.
Can I stream and coach on an O-1A?Content, coaching and appearance engagements can be pleaded in the itinerary — that flexibility is the O-1A's biggest advantage.

QUESTIONS PLAYERS ASK

Am I 'extraordinary' enough?

Honestly, most players aren't yet — and we say so. Championship-level placings plus press and a record across multiple seasons can get there. We grade it before you commit.

What about the EB-1A green card?

Not yet, for almost everyone. The game shipped in 2020, and 'sustained acclaim' is measured in years at the top — we'd rather build your record on P-1A/O-1A and file the green card when it's honestly winnable.

What if the O-1A is a stretch today?

Then the answer is usually P-1A now, O-1A as the record deepens — and we put that sequencing in writing.
